Monday Football News

With the various European Leagues starting very soon with activity has increased in the players market. Teams are either selling off or buying. The English Premiership has witnessed the highest number of activities compared to other leagues. Here are just some of the news coming out of europe.

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon believes Manchester United should be "happy and proud" to let Cristiano Ronaldo leave the club in what he believes would be "the transfer of the century". (PA Sport 1330 BST)
Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso's switch to Juventus could be off as the Italian giants are unwilling to pay £16m for him. (Football 365. 1235)

Inter Milan have made an official £6.5m opening offer for Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard. (The Sun)
Chelsea are ready to bid £75m for AC Milan's Brazilian playmaker Kaka after their initial "astronomical" bid was turned down. (Daily Express)
